Participant Commitments
LEAD Programme

The following commitments are designed to honour the kaupapa of the LEAD programme, and to uphold a mana-enhancing space for every wahine who participates.

1. My Commitment to Showing Up

  • I will make this kaupapa a priority by showing up to each live session or watching the replay when life makes that difficult.

  • I will come to each session with presence, ready to listen, engage, reflect, and support myself and others.

  • I understand that I don’t need to be polished or perfect — just present and open.

2. My Commitment to the Process

  • I will give myself permission to participate in the ways that feel authentic, knowing that growth can be gentle and stretching, and I am always in control.

  • I will commit to engaging with the weekly content, reflection prompts, and preparation activities — even if that just means sitting with a single question longer than expected.

  • I will share honestly in a way that supports both my own leadership and that of others.

3. My Commitment to the Collective

  • I understand that this is a shared space. I will listen with empathy, speak with care, and hold the stories shared with confidentiality and respect.

  • I will uphold a mana-enhancing space where every wahine feels safe to be seen, heard, and held — including myself.

  • I understand that diverse perspectives will support my learning, and that a safe space is created by ensuring there is zero tolerance for racism, sexism, bigotry and hate in this environment.

4. My Commitment to My Financial Investment

  • I honour the payment arrangement I have committed to, and understand that this reflects not only my investment in the programme, but in myself.

  • If something changes financially, I will communicate early and openly so that solutions can be explored in good faith.

  • I understand that my payment is non-refundable, and that it secures my place in this kaupapa.

5. My Commitment to My Leadership

  • I will trust that I am already a leader, even if I am still learning what that looks and feels like.

  • I will take responsibility for how I show up, how I lead myself, and how I grow across the 9 weeks.

  • I will be open to learning from others, from the kaupapa, and from myself.

Terms & Conditions

Participation in the LEAD programme is an agreement to uphold the commitments above.

By joining, you acknowledge:

  • That this programme is non-refundable. Your payment secures your place in a limited-capacity kaupapa.

  • That your experience is your own, and your outcomes are shaped by the energy and intention you bring.

  • That we (Te Kāinga Wāhine) reserve the right to modify the programme delivery to ensure the integrity and safety of the group.

  • That all course materials are for your personal use only, and cannot be copied, shared, or used in other programmes or trainings.

We hold this space with care and expectation — that by choosing to step in, you are choosing to honour both yourself and the collective you walk alongside.
